Is this program a fit for me?
-
Our program is designed for female adult survivors of sex trafficking or exploitation.
-
As an adult sanctuary shelter, women must be at least 18+. The typical age range for residents in our program is between 18 and 40.
-
At this time our program is only designed for women who are not currently pregnant and who have no children. As we grow our program in the coming years, our desire is to add services to pregnant survivors and to women with children.
-
We are not a clinical facility and thus we don't provide detox. We require that survivors who struggle with addiction have gone through detox prior to becoming a resident in our program.
-
We are not a mental health provider and out of the best interest of the safety of all residents, some prospective residents may not be a fit for our program based on severity of diagnosis and/or a past history of self harm or violence/harm of others.
Individuals with a current SMI diagnosis who are accepted to our program are required to be under the supervision of a provider, following a treatment plan, and taking any medications prescribed.
-
While we assist with connecting the residents to licensed healthcare, legal, and counseling professionals, we contract many therapeutic services and programs for the residents, such as: equine, art, K9, yoga, and music therapies.
-
Our staff and volunteers have all been trained in trauma informed care but are not licensed therapists. While we are not a mental health facility, healing from trauma is paramount to our program and we will help facilitate the process of residents finding and seeing a licensed therapist or provider.
